Ölgerðin Achieves ISO 14001 Certification

Ölgerðin has received ISO 14001 certification, an internationally recognized standard for environmental management. The certification confirms that Ölgerðin operates an environmental management system that promotes responsible operations and continuous improvement.

A culture of continuous improvement is a key part of Ölgerðin’s operations and one of the company’s most important tools for achieving ongoing progress in both sustainability and operational performance. Through continuous improvement, we reduce waste, lower our carbon footprint and decrease costs. Ölgerðin is committed to systematically reducing the climate and environmental impact of its operations by cutting carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency and making better use of resources.

ISO 14001 joins the other certifications already held by Ölgerðin: ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 and ÍST 85:2012.
